Bringing our experience to the classroom: Gonvarri Agrotech at ETSIIAA in Palencia

On Wednesday, April 30, our Business Development Manager, Jorge Pérez Muñoz, gave a talk to second- and third-year students at the School of Agricultural Engineering (ETSIIAA) on the Palencia campus.

The session was a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between academia and industry, share professional insights, and highlight the essential role of agricultural engineers in shaping the future of intensive and sustainable farming.

A Career path that inspires

Jorge began by sharing his personal journey—from graduating as an Agricultural Engineer at ETSIIAA to working in both family-owned businesses and multinational companies. He emphasized the growing need for professionals specialized in fruit and vegetable production, who can lead the way in developing a modern, efficient, and environmentally conscious agriculture.

Introducing Gonvarri Agrotech

In the second part of the talk, Jorge introduced Gonvarri Agrotech, explaining the company’s international reach, the different greenhouse models and integrated technologies, and the relevance of agricultural engineers in industrial sectors such as metalworking. Their technical expertise is key to designing solutions tailored to the needs of modern agriculture.

Thank you for the warm welcome

We would like to thank the ETSIIAA of Palencia for their invitation and all the students for their interest and engagement. At Gonvarri Agrotech, we believe in strengthening the connection between business and education, convinced that sharing knowledge is essential to building a more resilient and forward-thinking agricultural sector.
